Queensland Solar Bonus Scheme

The Queensland Government Solar Bonus Scheme commenced on 1 July 2008 to help make solar panels more economical and rewards you for returning unused power to the grid.
This is an incentive structure that boosts the adoption of renewable energy through government legislation.

The Queensland Solar Bonus Scheme offers to pay 44c p/kwh for the electricity you feed back into the Queensland grid, over and above what you use at home or at work. The Queensland Government introduced on 10 July 2011 that systems larger than 5 kilowatts in size will no longer be eligible for this scheme.
